Shipping & Delivery Policy
Hand Delivery Only – No Box Shipping
At Julia Testa, we do not ship fresh flowers or plants via mail or third-party shipping providers (such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS). Our arrangements are delicate, handcrafted, and perishable—requiring upright positioning and access to water or soil.
Instead, we offer hand delivery through our in-house delivery team within a verified delivery radius. During checkout, customers can enter their zip code to confirm whether we deliver to their location. If your zip code is approved at checkout, your order will be hand-delivered by our trusted in-house team.
Deliveries Outside Our Standard Radius
For delivery addresses outside our delivery zone but still within the five boroughs of NYC, customers may call one of our locations to request a special courier delivery.Approval depends on our schedule and workload for that day.
If we accept the request, we will coordinate a third-party courier service for deliveries within 50 miles of our shop. This service is priced by the courier based on distance, order size, and quantity, typically ranging from $20–$100 in addition to your floral order. We do not set or negotiate courier pricing—we coordinate on your behalf.
Delivery Timeframes & Fees
Customers may select a preferred delivery date and time window at checkout. Available delivery windows on non-holiday dates are:
- 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Eastern Time)
- 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
- 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
We offer flat-rate delivery pricing for zip codes within our verified delivery zone:
- $25 for the first arrangement
- $5 for each additional arrangement (Example: 5 arrangements = $25 + $20 = $45)
Note: This pricing applies to standard drop-offs only. Deliveries requiring on-site setup, staging, or florist support are priced individually and typically range from 10–15% of the total sale.
Missed Deliveries & Redelivery Fees
If a recipient is unavailable during the chosen delivery window and we’re unable to reach them or safely leave the arrangement (e.g. with a doorman or neighbor), the order may require a redelivery.
Redelivery incurs a fee equal to the original delivery charge. Before charging, we will always contact the sender to discuss options or approve alternate arrangements. Customers may also opt for pickup from one of our locations instead of paying a redelivery fee.
Please note: We cannot offer refunds for failed deliveries due to recipient unavailability. Our products are made to order using perishable materials, and we incur costs for labor and design regardless of delivery outcome.
Holiday Delivery Policy
During high-volume holidays (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day), specific delivery windows cannot be guaranteed. While customers may select a preferred time, we only guarantee delivery between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM on these dates due to order volume.
Acts of God & Delivery Delays
If delivery is delayed due to natural disasters (e.g. snowstorms, hurricanes, or other unsafe weather conditions), we reserve the right to postpone deliveries until it is safe to proceed. Such delays do not qualify for refunds.
Government Closures & Mandates
In the event of a city- or state-mandated closure, deliveries will be postponed until it is legally and safely possible to resume operations. Refunds are not issued for delayed deliveries under these circumstances.
Event clients with QuickBooks invoice numbers may be eligible for store credit if their event is canceled more than 2 weeks prior to the scheduled delivery. No store credits are available within 2 weeks of the event due to non-refundable material orders from our growers.
All refund and credit decisions remain at the discretion of the owner.
Same-Day Delivery
“Same-day delivery” refers to any order received, confirmed, and paid for on the same day the arrangement is made and delivered. We typically offer this service daily, but reserve the right to pause or disable same-day delivery during peak holiday periods to ensure order quality and fulfillment.
International Shipping
We do not offer international shipping or delivery under any circumstances.
Delivery Limits by Location
Retail and online orders are only available for hand delivery to zip codes verified at checkout. For large events & weddings, we may provide service outside NYC on a case-by-case basis. If you're planning an event outside of NYC, please contact our events team to inquire about availability and any order minimums that may apply.
Handling Time
All arrangements are made fresh daily or the day before scheduled delivery to ensure optimal quality and presentation.
